Understanding the most common Chemicals
Chlorine Tablets
Chlorine is use in swimming pools’ to prevent the growth and spread of bacteria, viruses, algae and insect larvae. The tablets provide the pool with a continuous but slow release of chlorine, allowing the pool to be maintained at a steady chlorine level.
Chlorine Granulated
Chlorine is use in swimming pools’ to prevent the growth and spread of bacteria, viruses, algae and insect larvae. The Granulated Chlorine is beneficial for topping up a low Chlorine level quickly or can be used to balance out your free Chlorine level, lastly granulated works well as a shock product. Another thing to bear in mind is there is both slow release and rapid chlorine the slow release is very good for removing stubborn stains in winter when it does not dissolve so quickly.
Understanding Ph
The pH is one of the most important factors in pool water balance and it should be tested and corrected at least every week. pH is the measure of how acid/ alkaline the swimming pool water is. A pH of 7.0 is neutral – below 7.0 is acidic, above 7.0 is alkaline. The pH of our eyes is 7.2 . No wonder that the ideal pH for your pool is just that – 7.2 , and should be kept within the range of 7.0-7.6 .
Antialgas
Algaecides are used to prevent algae growth and kill existing algae that survive general chlorine dosages, Algae is an aquatic plant that grows rapidly in pool water when a combination of warm water and lack of chlorine or other sanitizing agents exist.
Floculante
Floculante takes all those particles that are making your water cloudy and sinks them to the bottom of your pool. Then, it will be your job to vacuum them out. What’s great about this chemical is it acts fast.
